And in the Media...

Steady hands and steel nerves are a necessity when serving such luminaries as former U.S. President, Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth and the King of Sweden—drop a plate of pasta and you could prompt an international crisis. According to owner James Nienhuis, TBDI aims “to take the stress of the event off you,” assisting caterers by supervising and delegating duties. This highly touted staffing company is affiliated with various caterers (including Daniel et Daniel and Marigolds and Onions) and venues (the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum), and while they have the sang-froid to handle prestigious affairs, TBDI’s highly qualified servers are just as deft at intimate dinner parties and informal backyard barbecues. And they’ll dress accordingly: their uniforms range from “formal” (tuxedo) to “casual” (black dress shirt) to “bistro” (white dress shirt, long tie, with or without vest). But while their clothing is sometimes relaxed, these pros never lose their poise.
